What is Taiwan Fo Shou Shan Oolong Tea?

Fu Shou Shan oolong (also known as Heaven Pool oolong) is a very rare premium oolong tea from Fu Shou Shan Farm (Lucky Life Mountain Farm) in Li Shan area. Farm is located between Mt. Hehuan and Mt. Snow at altitude 1800-2580 m.

Fu Shou Shan is the second highest peak in the Li Shan Range, exceeding Li Shan. There is the Heaven Pool on the top of the mountain where there is water all year long and tea is named from its name. This tea plantation is one of the highest tea plantation over the world.

Due to its high altitude and northern latitude, Fu Shou Shan's harvest begins much later than other oolong teas. At altitude 2500 meters, strong but short sun exposure in the morning produces intense flavor compounds, while cooler mist-enshrouded afternoons allow the plant to store those compounds.
